Your content stays with you

Klypsed processes your videos and photos exclusively on your computer. No file, image or audio track is ever sent to our servers: we do not host, store or distribute any content.

Data controller

Data we collect

Purchase: email address, language, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, and subscription status. Payment data (name, country, payment method) is collected by Stripe; we never receive your full card number.

Licence: licence key (we only keep a hashed version, never the key in clear), a random identifier generated by the app on activation (no hardware fingerprint of your computer is collected) and an export counter.

Technical logs: requests to our licence server are logged, including IP address, to secure the service and prevent fraud.

Site: Cloudflare Web Analytics audience measurement, cookieless and without individual tracking. Only with your consent: page views, clicks, steps towards purchase and A/B test variants, tied to a random identifier created on your device (no IP address and no exact browser: only the device type and country), and Google Analytics 4.

Support: the messages you send us on Telegram or by email.

Purposes and legal bases

Running your subscription and delivering your licence (contract); bookkeeping and invoicing (legal obligation); securing the service and preventing abuse (legitimate interest); anonymous site audience measurement (legitimate interest).

Measuring site traffic, understanding the path to purchase and testing improvements (consent, which you can withdraw at any time through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page).

Retention

Licence data: during the subscription, then 3 years. Accounting records: 10 years. Technical logs (including IP addresses): 12 months at most.

Audience measurement: 13 months at most for events and the random identifier, 14 months for Google Analytics data. Your consent choice: 6 months, after which you are asked again.

Recipients

Stripe: payment, invoicing and subscription management. Under Stripe Managed Payments, Stripe acts as an independent controller for payment data, under its own privacy policy: https://stripe.com/privacy.

Cloudflare: site hosting and cookieless audience measurement (processor).

Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics 4), only with your consent: audience measurement, with advertising signals and ad personalisation turned off (processor).

Mailtrap, our email delivery provider: sending the licence key and service emails (processor, bound by a data processing agreement).

OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France: hosting of the licence server and its database (processor).

Telegram: if you choose to contact support on Telegram, your messages are processed there under Telegram’s privacy policy.

Transfers outside the European Union

Some recipients are located outside the European Union, notably in the United States. These transfers are covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or, where applicable, by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Cookies and trackers

The site sets no advertising cookies. Without your consent, it only stores your consent choice (local storage, 6 months); Stripe’s payment page may use its own cookies, needed to secure the payment.

With your consent: the random audience-measurement identifier (local storage “klypsed.visitor”, 13 months at most) and the Google Analytics cookies “_ga” and “_ga_<ID>” (13 months at most).

You can accept, refuse or change your mind at any time, just as easily, through the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. Refusing deletes the identifier and the measurement cookies.
